QuickReport - this section shows the lowest prices found in the most recent week for each of the major HDD form factors. This section is useful to print out before attending a tactical pricing meeting.

Market Statistics - this section shows general market statistics, graphs for $/GB, and availability charts for Desktop Internal 3.5" HDDs, Enterprise Internal-15K RPM 3.5" HDDs, and Portable Internal 2.5" HDDs. These pages include:

Yearly Price Trend Tables – tracks the lowest prices found¹ for each capacity point and each major form factor throughout the entire year. If you purchased only a single quarters' report, then the yearly price trend table would only show just that one quarter. If you subscribe to PriceG2's weekly MarketVision report service, this table will reflect the lowest prices found throughout the calendar year.

Internal Drive Low Prices – tracks the lowest prices found¹ for each internal hard disk drive capacity point and each major form factor throughout 13 weeks of the quarter. The form factors include: Desktop Internal 3.5", Enterprise Internal 3.5"-15KRPM, Portable Internal 2.5", Portable Internal 1.8", Portable Internal 1.0".

External Drive Low Prices – tracks the lowest prices found¹ for each external hard disk drive capacity point and each major form factor throughout 13 weeks of the quarter. The form factors include: Desktop External 3.5", Portable External 2.5", Portable External 1.8", Portable External 1.0".

Channel Presence – shows a summary of each major retailer and the HDD products that they carry. This is useful to quickly see which suppliers' products the retailers currently carry in their product lineup.

Weekly SKU Changes - this section shows the models that were either added or removed by the retailers each week. This section is useful to determine if a new product enters the market or if a supplier's products are discontinued in whole or in part by a retailer.

Sample Data – this page gives an example of the raw data that PriceG2 tracks. The client can get access to this raw data by upgrading their subscription to HDD MaxVision.

Notes: 1) prices tracked may not include mail-in-rebates, instant or other discounts or manufacturer's incentives. Models advertised with incomplete or erroneous information may not be tracked.

A software program that runs from Excel and allows the client to dynamically search, sort, and compare thousands of raw data records. HDD MaxVision comes with 5 worksheets tabs that are used with the software program:

COMPARE_MFG tab – this page allows the client to compare side by side the lowest prices found for up to six HDD suppliers products for 13 weeks of a quarter.

YEAR tab – this page is used by the client to chart the lowest prices found on the client's selected HDD platform for up to an entire year.

AVAIL tab – inventory metrics, measured in number of days wait until a product ships, are tracked using the AVAIL tab. The charts and graphs show the total number of SKUs (hard disk drive models) that are listed with the given number of days wait. When plotted over time, it becomes apparent when product is in short supply if it changes from Same Day shipment availability to "1 to 3 days" to "CALL."

MFG_LKP tab – clients may use this page to look up all of the HDD supplier's records found matching a certain selection criteria. The results include all pricing found, highs and lows, for every model listed. This page is useful to see new model introductions by a supplier and with which retailers. The client may then copy these raw data records into their own Excel spreadsheets or Access databases for further analysis.

DATA_PAGE tab – the client uses this page to load in the weekly, raw data modules from PriceG2. Once the raw data is loaded into this page, the client may easily copy and paste this data into their own Excel spreadsheets or Access databases for further analysis.
